Hit your 10% carbon reduction requirements for CALGreen
Title 24, Part 11 of the California Code of Regulations, CALGreen, is the USA's first mandatory green building standards code, in effect as of July 1, 2024. Calfornia non-residential buildings over 100,000 square-feet and schools over 50,000 square-feet will be required to comply with one of three pathways to reduce environmental impact:
- Building Reuse: Reuse at least 45% of an existing structure and exterior
- Performance: Complete a whole building life-cycle assessment (WBLCA) demonstrating 10% reduction in embodied carbon from a baseline model
- Prescriptive: Document environmental product declarations (EPDs) for specified materials
