One Click LCA and ALLPLAN partnership to support users in the planning of sustainable buildings.
The partnership between One Click LCA and Allplan introduces an important update to Allplan's software, incorporating an interface that connects directly with One Click LCA’s platform. By facilitating straightforward calculations of environmental impacts, this collaboration ensures that construction projects align with major certification standards such as BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, and 50+ other systems.
Helsinki, April 12, 2024 — One Click LCA, a global leader in software solutions for life-cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) for the construction sector, and ALLPLAN, a leading provider of BIM (Building Information Modelling) software, announce a partnership to accelerate the decarbonization of the global construction industry through innovative digital workflows.
BIM-based LCA improves the workflow for architects and engineers, enabling them to predict and understand the embodied carbon impact of their designs when creating BIM models when using ALLPLAN software. The integration eliminates the need for time-consuming material quantity calculations by automatically deriving all relevant information from the ALLPLAN BIM model and uploading it directly to One Click LCA.
The new interface simplifies the reduction of climate impact for buildings engineers over the entire planning phase. It reduces the need for redesign due to green building requirements and helps them meet their clients' sustainability goals. Thanks to ALLPLAN's comprehensive functionality for virtual building reconstruction from point clouds, the new interface also saves designers a lot of time in thermal renovation projects.
