Recognizing the One Click LCA user community with a €17,000 donation to UKGBC and FIGBC to accelerate measurable carbon reduction
United Kingdom — December 09, 2025 — At the recent Carbon Experts Summits in London and Helsinki, One Click LCA announced a charitable donation of €17,000 to be made to the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and Green Building Council Finland (FIGBC) on behalf of its UKI and Nordic user community. The donations will be made in recognition of the role that customers and Green Building Councils play in driving measurable reductions in embodied carbon through life-cycle assessment (LCA), environmental product declarations (EPDs), and material-level decision making, as well as influencing policy and regulatory change.
At the Carbon Experts Summit in London, UKGBC highlighted the sobering fact that since 2018, embodied carbon emissions have not only failed to decline — they have increased by 5%.
This contribution reflects the shared commitment of One Click LCA, FIGBC, UKGBC, and the user community to change this and accelerate credible, data-driven decarbonisation across the built environment.
“Our customers are reshaping the construction value chain by using verifiable data to cut carbon at scale. This donation recognizes their leadership and reinforces our commitment to support organizations like UKGBC and FIGBC, whose work strengthens the entire ecosystem, guiding the markets toward a zero-carbon future.” - Panu Pasanen, CEO and Founder of One Click LCA
One Click LCA provides access to the world’s most comprehensive LCA dataset, with more than 500,000 data points and support for over 140 global standards and methods. This data foundation enables architects, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers to quantify and reduce embodied carbon through consistent, compliant workflows — and supports the increasing expectation for whole-life carbon reporting across the UK and Europe.
“The transition to a net-zero built environment depends on data transparency, robust methodologies, and market actors who are willing to lead by example. Support from organizations like One Click LCA — and the thousands of practitioners who use its tools — helps accelerate the industry’s ability to measure, validate, and reduce carbon impacts across projects and products.” - Phillipa Birch-Wood, Head of Climate Action at UKGBC
The Carbon Experts Summit events convene to celebrate the work of One Click LCA customers and to highlight practical pathways for decarbonization amid new regulatory requirements, including the EU Construction Products Regulation and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
The donations to these organizations underscores the importance of collaboration between industry, technology providers, and policy-shaping bodies to advance credible carbon reduction across the construction sector.
