One Click LCA and Sumitomo Forestry’s joint seminar in Tokyo
One Click LCA CEO and Founder Panu Pasanen shared lessons learned in Europe and best practice recommendations in a session attended by 80+ in-person attendees, with an additional 100 participants joining via Zoom.
Sumitomo Forestry is part of the Sumitomo Group, one of Japan’s largest industrial conglomerates, and is One Click LCA’s sole reseller in Japan.
The session established the scale of the construction industry’s carbon problem and why life cycle assessment is needed for buildings.
It also reviewed the regulatory landscape in Europe, drawing upon One Click LCA’s recent analysis of Construction Carbon Regulations in Europe, and provided recommendations for the construction industry in Japan.
Life-Cycle Carbon, Japan Tool
Earlier this year, One Click LCA launched an LCA tool tailored to the Japanese market with first-level user support in Japanese. The tool includes Japanese data, including Ecoleaf, and reports on Global Warming Potential (GWP kg CO2e) and Biogenic Carbon storage (kg CO2e bio).
